The International Police Organization Academy is delighted to extend its heartfelt congratulations to Brigadier General Adam Ismail on his prestigious appointment as the Honorary  Country Director, Section Sweden.


Under the esteemed leadership of Dr. Alexander Jan M (Hany El Zahar), Director of the IPOA Academy, and with invaluable contributions from Prof. Yuval Binstoc, Sir Junustia Brecen, and Rtd. Senior Superintendent Police Shuaib Adam Hsc Oly Vj, the International Director of Law Enforcement, Police, and Military, this momentous achievement is recognized and celebrated.

Background and Special Forces Experience: Brigadier General Adam Ismail is a distinguished military leader renowned for his expertise in Delta Forces and counter-terrorism operations. He received specialized training under both Jordanian and American authorities, culminating in a personal certification from His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan. With a proven track record in command and operations, he has been instrumental in leading reconnaissance and surveillance units, notably within the Iraqi Presidential Brigade from 2005 to 2014.


Military Intelligence Expertise: Brigadier General Ismail has demonstrated pioneering responsibility for Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) operations, driving critical intelligence efforts within his brigade. His leadership roles have underscored his adeptness in strategic intelligence planning and execution, enhancing situational awareness and decision-making capabilities.


Training and Capacity Building: Brigadier General Ismail's commitment to counter-terrorism extends to his extensive contributions in training Iraqi and Kurdish Special Forces in Northern Iraq. With a focus on combating Islamic extremist organizations, he has played a pivotal role in fostering the skills and readiness of local forces to address security threats effectively.


International Engagement and Collaboration: Serving as a military advisor in Sweden, Brigadier General Ismail has leveraged his expertise to collaborate with international partners in addressing complex security challenges. His advisory role in the Swedish Ministry of Defense underscores his commitment to fostering international cooperation and sharing best practices.


Brigadier General Ismail leads as one of the Country Directors of the International Police Organization Academy, leveraging his vast experience to shape the next generation of law enforcement professionals. Recognizing the importance of collaboration with relevant ministries and agencies, he proposes the establishment of Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) for mutual benefit. Through strategic alliances and partnerships, he aims to enhance regional security and stability, contributing to global efforts in countering terrorism and ensuring peace.
