INTERNATIONAL POLICE ORGANIZATION ACADEMY (IPOA) FORGES STRATEGIC ALLIANCE WITH UNASDG FOR SMART CITY DEVELOPMENT
In a landmark move towards global security and sustainable urban development, the International Police Organization Academy (IPOA) has officially entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the UNASDG Intergovernmental Organization.
This collaboration, signed on 20th Ocotber 2023, establishes a framework for mutual cooperation between IPOA, headquartered in Brussels, Belgium, and UNASDG, with administrative headquarters in London, United Kingdom. IPOA, renowned for its commitment to enhancing the knowledge and expertise of law enforcement and military personnel globally, joins forces with UNASDG to contribute to the development of smart, sustainable, and safe regional urban centers.
The partnership aims to leverage the strengths of both organizations, combining IPOA's extensive experience in law enforcement and military training with UNASDG's mission to support international developers and global partnerships in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) outlined by the United Nations.
Key Objectives of the Agreement:
Smart City Development: The collaboration focuses on the creation of innovative and secure structures for sustainable urban development, aligning with the SDGs under the 2030 Agenda.
Global Partnerships: IPOA and UNASDG commit to providing support and guidance for the realization of Smart Cities and Technologies worldwide, fostering global partnerships for economic development.
Confidentiality: Both parties undertake to protect each other's confidential information and intellectual property, ensuring a secure environment for collaboration.
